As well as selling well known brands at competitive prices, we also try to respond to your requests to sell fresh, local food that you won’t find in supermarkets. 
We have eggs, bread, cheese, pies, curries, beer, cakes, honey, jam, flowers and vegetables for sale which are produced in Devon, some of them even in Payhembury.
This month as well as our regular weekly supply of meat from K and M butchers in Ottery, who source all their meat from Devon and Somerset, we also have a real treat of beef from Tuck Mill. Many people will know Jon and Libby Carden from their Tale Millers cricket team but did you also know that among all their other 
projects they rear Devon red ruby beef? This is from grass-fed bullocks who lead a tranquil life by the river Tale; if I said the cows spend sunny summer afternoons idly watching the cricket it might be a slight exaggeration but you get the picture! The meat is hung for 28 days and is well marbled for a superb flavour. We have joints, steaks, mince and casserole beef for sale on a first come first served basis so hurry down to the shop, when it’s gone, it’s gone!

7.30pm in the Parish Hall
On that evening we will be distributing some of our profits for the year, together with the proceeds of the shop raffle, to village groups and clubs. If your group would like a grant please apply in writing to our chairman David Curran, at the shop, by Monday, September 11th.
