News from Payhembury Provisions – November

7 November 2016 By Sue

shop logoAlthough the big supermarkets have been pushing mince pies and Christmas puddings at us since early September we have resisted the urge to tell you about our Christmas plans until now but we are delighted to say that we will have Orchard Farm turkeys and geese available to order once again this Christmas.

If you would like to read more about these birds strolling around the orchards apple_headereating windfall apples and local corn then please have a look at their website http://www.orchardfarm.co.uk/index.htm. An order form and price list (very competitive prices!) will be in the shop from mid-November, the last order date is 12th December, and your turkey or goose will be available for a fuss-free collection from the village hall on 23rd December.

We are also very pleased to say that we will be having more beef from Yellingham logFarm at the beginning of December. Janet and Ed are renowned for the high welfare of their animals and this results in very tasty beef for us. We will have a supply of minced beef and casserole cuts but if you would like a special joint or some steaks it is best to order these. An order sheet and price list is in the shop, again at very competitive prices!

More Christmas news next month!
