Thank you to everyone who joined us at our 5th birthday party. It was lovely to see so many people of all ages enjoying a chat, a laugh and a lavish cream tea with cake. As you may know, Payhembury Provisions has now repaid all the loans, commercial and private, that were needed five years ago when we first started and we hope that with help from all our wonderful volunteers, customers and share-holders the shop will continue to prosper for many years to come.
On October 6th we will be holding our annual members’ meeting. 
This is traditionally our time for giving grants to village organisations, at the committee’s discretion, from the funds raised from our weekly shop raffle and topped up by shop profits. If you are helping to run a club or activity and would like to apply for a grant please write to our chairman, David Curran, at the shop before 19th September. If you are thinking of starting up a new club, or have an idea for something that would benefit the village, please come and talk to us and we’ll see if we are able to help.
