This month we are excited to say we have not just one but TWO new suppliers of bread (we never do things by halves at Payhembury Provisions!):
several shops in this area. On six days a week they will be delivering to us from their range of loaves, rolls and sweet and savoury treats. We can’t wait to work our way through their extensive product range but if you have a particular favourite it would help us if you let us know. Of course our prices will be the same as in the Crusty Cob shops.
Our second new supplier is the Common Loaf Bakery who you may be familiar with from their stall at Honiton market, but they also sell their bread in shops and markets all over the South West. They make artisan bread using spelt and rye flours in the old-fashioned overnight fermentation method and have some wonderful loaves including oaty spelt, sourdough rye and apple and walnut, which were all extremely popular when we had samples in our shop. We will be having a weekly delivery but would like customers to place an order by Tuesday of each week and the bread will be ready for collection from our shop first thing on a Friday morning.There have been so many unusual bird records recently I decided that I needed to formulate a rationale to explain their …
