Deck the halls, the festive season is upon us! We will have just had the spooks of Halloween and the gunpowder plot celebrations which they do in a very understated way in Ottery St Mary I always think. Well we here at Payhembury Provisions like to blow our trumpet and celebrate everything good about our shop and village. So once again you’ll be able to order a fine free range Turkey (may have been barn raised as I’m not up on the current poultry keeping laws) from us, the order form will be in the shop soon. We have a good range of Christmas Cards too, including a home grown village card made by the shop’s free ranging neighbour Lucy (some say she was raised in a barn but I say not). A proportion of the takings of Lucy’s fabulous card going to the church roof appeal. We also have a range of decorations, a myriad of gifts and drinks aplenty to make your Christmas go with a swing.
The loyalty card scheme seems to have been welcomed by many customers, with cards filling up and being cashed in for what is in effect a 10% discount. Just a reminder that a stamp is issued when you spend £10 on goods, you don’t get stamps when you pay off your account, then you’re only paying for your credit we have given you for the goods !!
