Payhembury Badders Open Session

30 January 2017 By Sue

logSunday February 5th

2pm to 4pm in the Parish Community Hall

Come along and play badminton at the Parish Community Hall Sunday 5th Feb !

Last year badminton court markings were laid down in the Parish Community Hall, and high-quality net and posts were purchased. It’s now a fantastic facility which can be used by all. Badminton is a great game to get the blood up, and can be played by all ages, all abilities, unaffected by the light or the weather. It can be a game for two, or doubles for 4, and we hope to be able to offer a ladder and league for those who want the incentive to either keep improving or prove who is ‘top dog’.

How it works:

1. You join – membership is for the year is available as individual, couple or family, youth or adult – it doesn’t matter what your level is, we will aim to give people the opportunity to find your level … abilities from enthusiast, through intermediate to advanced

2. For that you get access to the online booking system, and out-of-hours access to the Hall, and guidance on playing. There is a requirement to wear indoor only court shoes with non-marking soles, to keep the floor in good condition for all users

3. A small court fee applies when playing (outline fees below)

It’s a place to go and play badminton but it will also be a good excuse to socialize – we’re hoping to have a couple of events a year, and could well have a regular weekly gettogether. All of this depends on demand. If you think you might like to join in, or even if you’re not sure but curious, come along to our Open Session, Sunday 5th February between 2 and 4pm.

Annual Membership fees: Individual adult £25, Individual Junior (<18) £15, Couple £40, Family (2 Adults, max 4 kids) £60.

PLUS COURT USE FEES: £2 per hour for the court. Guests: Court fees apply, plus £2 per hour, per guest.
