The Leach family have very generously offered an area of approximately 2 acres of land down in The Meadows to be used for a village car park, allotments and a full size, flat!!! football pitch. The Parish Council have checked with EDDC planning authority to see what their view would be regarding planning permission as there was no point pursuing this idea if EDDC felt there was no likelihood that planning permission would be granted. While professional swimming groups are able to start returning to the pool, sadly we can’t open to the general public due to continuing social distancing measures, both in and out of the water, and sanitising between each use.
