It seems mighty strange having just walked across a bog purporting to be a cricket field but in theory we should be limbering up for our first game of the season later in April away at Clyst Hydon, not our longest journey but Tale Lane isn’t always the easiest route to traverse! I know it really doesn’t seem like it but within two months of you picking up your Parish Paper we should be playing cricket – time will tell ! As of the start of this season the club will have a DEFIBRILLATOR up and running in the toilets beside the pitch . Clearly it makes sense that this should be accessible to local residents in Tale in an emergency and the club will be working towards that . As the long awaited summer weather is upon us, the month has seen some exciting cricket and not just in the Test arena where “Bazball” has taken centre stage. The demolition of New Zealand followed by victory over India have made Test cricket sexy again and there’s no doubt the longer format of the game will benefit hugely from this new era of entertainment. Its quite likely to be June by the time you read this, I’m not sure where the time goes and Ive just heard that mother is already working on next Christmas’s hand illustrated Christmas card !
