Churchmouse – March

17 March 2013 By Sue

mouse_and_parachuteHi friends you can see me having fun. This year for Lent I decided to give up parachuting with Rev Cate’s newsletters from the pulpit, when she’s not there, and keep my feet on firm ground,. That way I may not have quite so many bruises and upset Mum too much. Well I heard about people giving things up for Lent so I thought I’d give it a go. Parchina though heard Rev Cate say that you could also take something on like trying to be nicer or trying to be more helpful, so Parchina has decided she will stop nagging me. I can tell you it’s wonderful and I hope that it goes on after Lent. We both are trying to be more helpful to our family, it’s hard and I can be a bit lazy but I’m trying. We know other people were doing things starting from the day when people came out of church with ash crosses on their heads!

We are looking forward to Easter we believe there’s going to be a children’s activity party on Good Friday, hey that sounds fun and hopefully on Easter Day we mice can celebrate with you and chocolate. I hope by then the sun will be out and we will see the lovely daffodils waving their heads at us and see all the lovely flowers in church, which we can nibble when no one is looking. Well I must dash off Mum has told us that we have to tidy our part of the nest and that Dad will be in to inspect in about an hour –eek we had better sort out now if we want to be helpful.

See you soon, Parchie and Parchina.
