The show will take place Saturday 20th September 2025, Payhembury Village Hall at 2.30pm to 4pm.
The Payhembury village show was formed in November 2021 to remodel the Spring Bulb and Flower Show which was previously an annual village event, following a decline in entries. The committee are hopeful that the remodelled show which includes produce, flower arranging, cookery, crafts and children’s classes will attract more entries and continue to grow each year.
How to Enter:
1. Decide which class or classes you wish to enter.
2. Complete an entry form – available from Payhembury Provisions.
3. Entry forms and the correct entry fees must be in a sealed envelope addressed to the Village Hall Show Committee and returned to Payhembury Provisions by 15th September 2025. 50p per adult class and 20p per children’s class.
Classes:
Section A – Home Grown Produce
1. Longest Runner Bean (length from top to bottom in cm)
2. 5 tomatoes (any size, any colour)
3. Largest onion
4. Wonkiest Vegetable (judge’s favourite)
5. Best-looking vegetable (judge’s choice)
Section B – Plants, cut flowers and flower arrangements
6. A foliage plant in a pot
7. 5 dahlias in a vase
8. A single rose in a vase
9. 5 different garden flowers in a vase
10. 3 homegrown seasonal flowers in a vase
11. Let’s go green – a display of green plants and foliage
12. An arrangement of flowers and foliage in a cup and saucer
13. Flower heads only floating on water in a container (container no bigger than 30cms)
14. A hat decorated with fresh flowers
