I’m sure you’ll all agree that the 54th Bulb Show was a resounding success. The hall looked and smelt fantastic and it’s obvious that Payhembury is full of talented, clever, creative people.
Now brace yourselves for lots of thank yous! Firstly, I want to thank the wonderful committee:

Well done and congratulations to you all.
When I took over as chair of the show a few years ago, there was a question 
mark over how important it still was as a village event now that times have changed and people have such busy lives. What Saturday showed me is that it is still very much relevant and people do want to come and compete against each other and enjoy a community event. This is clear when the hall was brimming with exhibits and we had more than 100 extra entries than last year.
So thank you to all of you who entered and made it such a great day and to those who came to see all the entries.
